I love nature and have a deep passion for health and wellness—all of which inspired me to create my unique collection of handmade soaps using the traditional, time-honored method—the best way!

TRADITIONAL METHOD OF MAKING MY SOAPS
I use a time-honored method known as the old-fashioned cold process of soap making, just like in the good old days. This technique keeps ingredients at a low temperature, preserving their therapeutic properties. Cold process soap is created by blending high-quality butters and oils with botanical ingredients and lye, triggering saponification—a crucial chemical reaction. Without it, soap wouldn't form. The entire process takes six weeks to complete, making it a true art of soap making and spa craft.

Soap making is not just a hobby or a skill—to me, it is an art. Every single soap bar I create is visually stunning, bringing pure joy to both the body and soul. I truly love handcrafting my unique soap art pieces. The wonderful feedback I receive inspires me to continue this amazing journey. My family, friends, and clients all say their skin feels soft, nourished, and moisturized, with no residue—just pure, clean freshness and the soothing sensation of natural essential oils, herbs, and flower petals.

INGREDIENTS I USE TO MAKE MY SOAPS
My philosophy is simple: I only use ingredients in my soaps that are safe enough to eat—because your skin deserves the best nourishment. Every handmade, organic, and vegan soap I create is designed with love and passion to beautify, nourish, and heal your skin, body, and soul.
My soaps are mild, gentle, and packed with soothing, calming, and moisturizing benefits. They provide comprehensive, natural body care while remaining eco-friendly and safe for all skin types.
I am here to create luxurious, natural, and beautiful handmade soaps—and you are here to enjoy them, as you truly deserve! My little soap beauties are the ultimate skin food, each bar infused with a natural, healing blend of essential oils for aromatherapy benefits. A touch of bentonite clay gently detoxifies and soothes minor skin irritations.
The specific ingredients used in each soap are listed in my webshop >>HERE<<, as every bar is uniquely crafted. I incorporate a variety of botanical and healing elements, including:
Ground botanical particles (lavender buds, flax seeds, oats, kaolin clay, aloe vera powder, dried herbs, flower petals)
Authentic 100% African shea butter
Sustainable, organic, and vegan plant oils, such as olive oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, hemp seed oil, coconut oil, walnut oil, sunflower oil, castor oil, and flax oil—each carefully chosen for its nourishing properties
Organic almond milk and therapeutic-grade essential oils
Phthalate-free fragrance oils* and lye* (essential for saponification)
But the most magical and powerful ingredients in my soaps? LOVE, PASSION, and of course… a little eye of newt 😉.
NO ANIMAL FATS, SLS, DETERGENTS, OR HARSH CHEMICALS – JUST PURE ORGANIC VEGAN PREMIUM GRADE INGREDIENTS.
Here is a list of some of the key ingredients I often use in my soaps (each soap may vary):
LAVENDER – An ancient herb with profound effects on various skin types. It revitalizes, tones, and aids with acne, psoriasis, boils, sunburns, and oily skin. Lavender also has soothing aromatherapy benefits for calming the nerves.
PEPPERMINT – Known for its cooling sensation, peppermint leaves a numbing effect that helps soothe and heal minor irritations. It instantly refreshes and boosts the skin.
OATS – Known for moisturizing and soothing irritated skin, oats provide a gentle and mild exfoliation, revitalizing the skin.
FLAX SEED PARTICLES – These are excellent for mild exfoliation, offering gentle and revitalizing skin benefits.
FLAXSEED OIL – Flaxseed oil is particularly helpful for chronic skin conditions such as rosacea, acne, dermatitis, eczema, or psoriasis. The fatty acids help balance the skin's oils, reduce inflammation, and promote skin healing.
SHEA BUTTER – Packed with fatty acids and vitamins, shea butter softens and nourishes the skin. It also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties, perfect for conditioning and soothing the skin, especially on the face.
ALOE VERA BUTTER – This butter is extracted from the aloe vera plant and is deeply hydrating. It helps with dry skin caused by conditions like eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, sunburn, and windburn. Aloe vera butter has anti-aging properties and aids in reducing stretch marks and wrinkles.
HEMP OIL – Known for its anti-aging benefits, hemp oil helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It contains linoleic and oleic acids that nourish the skin and support its overall health.
JOJOBA OIL – With anti-inflammatory properties, jojoba oil calms chafing, redness, eczema, and rosacea. It helps with skin repair and damage control due to its high Vitamin E and B-complex vitamin content.
COCONUT OIL – Coconut oil helps reduce inflammation, moisturizes the skin, and promotes wound healing. It also has antimicrobial properties that help treat acne and protect the skin from bacteria.
WALNUT OIL – Rich in vitamins and minerals, walnut oil is great for skin health and is recommended for achieving flawless and ageless skin.
OLIVE OIL – Known for its antioxidant properties, olive oil prevents premature aging by protecting the skin from oxidative stress. It also supports healthy skin regeneration.
AVOCADO OIL – Full of Vitamin E, potassium, lecithin, and other nutrients, avocado oil nourishes and moisturizes the skin while boosting collagen production. It helps accelerate the healing process, especially with sunburns.
ALMOND OIL – Almond oil is gentle and packed with vitamins and minerals, making it ideal for moisturizing, soothing inflammation, and providing antioxidants to the skin. It's hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin, and provides anti-inflammatory benefits.
ALOE VERA EXTRACT – Aloe vera extract is packed with antioxidants, enzymes, and Vitamins A and C. It is anti-inflammatory and helps treat burns, acne, and dry skin. It promotes collagen production, reducing wrinkles and tightening the skin, improving elasticity.
KAOLIN CLAY – Used for centuries to absorb excess oil and prevent breakouts, kaolin clay is also effective in restoring skin damaged by acne outbreaks. Regular use can help balance oil production and reduce the appearance of oily skin.
These natural, nourishing ingredients provide healthy, safe, and eco-friendly body care for your skin!

SOAP CARE: Keep your soaps dry between uses to prolong their life. A draining soap dish or wire rack in your shower is ideal.
SIZE OF THE SOAPS: All soap bars are full size and large enough that you can cut them in half for easier handling and the opportunity to switch scents sooner. Each full-size bar weighs a minimum of 100-120g (approximately 3.8 oz - 4.3 oz). These are large bars, so feel free to cut them in half to make them more manageable and enjoy a variety of scents!
UNIQUENESS OF MY SOAPS: Since my soaps are made in small batches, color variations from the pictures may occur. Handcrafted soap is not as pristine as commercial soap and may have its own natural imperfections, which give it artistic beauty. Each bar is unique and one-of-a-kind. While I strive to duplicate batches, slight variations are inevitable, so please allow for those minor differences.
FACTS / TRUTH: Regulations set by the FDA prohibit bath and body companies from making health-related claims about beauty products. I am not a medical or healthcare professional and do not claim that the use of my products will have a positive effect on pre-existing physical or mental health conditions. The information in my listings refers to the properties of specific ingredients used in the products.
RETURN POLICY FOR HANDMADE SOAPS AND BATH BOMBS: Our products are handmade in small, unique batches. Because of the personal nature of our products, all sales are final and we do not accept returns or exchanges. If you receive a product that is damaged or believe it to be defective, please refuse the package and send us a note at jolaastudio@gmail.com. This must be reported upon delivery.

* Fragrance Oils: The fragrance oils I use are certified by The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) in Geneva to ensure compliance with high premium quality standards. These fragrance oils contain significant amounts of botanical lignans, which are the best source of naturally occurring organic ingredients used to create this soap, including vitamin E, vitamin A, and revitalizing botanical hormones that enhance your skin's beauty.
* Lye: The old-fashioned method of making handmade soap also requires a liquid solution of potash (lye), which is mined salt containing potassium. The name "potash" comes from "pot ash," referring to plant ashes from winter fires that were soaked in water in a pot, the primary method of manufacturing this product before the industrial era. FYI: There is no soap without a few drops of sodium hydroxide (lye), which reacts with plant oils in the process of saponification – "turning into soap."

CONCLUSION:
The process of creating handmade soaps is a unique and intricate art form that combines natural ingredients, passion, and craftsmanship. By using high-quality, organic, and vegan ingredients, such as essential oils, butters, and botanical extracts, each soap bar is designed to nourish, soothe, and heal the skin while providing a luxurious and therapeutic experience. The use of traditional methods, such as the cold process and the inclusion of lye in the saponification process, ensures that the soaps retain their natural benefits. Every soap is carefully crafted in small batches, making each one unique with its own imperfections, adding to its charm and beauty. While the soaps may have slight variations in color or appearance, they all share a commitment to sustainability, purity, and the belief that skincare should be as nourishing for the soul as it is for the body. Whether you're using them for daily self-care or gifting them to someone special, these handmade soaps offer both aesthetic pleasure and practical benefits, delivering natural, eco-friendly luxury in every bar.
